Walt Disney World

Has it really been that long? I was reading my blog and I promised you an account of Walt Disney World. That was several months ago. I would like to talk about the four theme Parks, especially my favorite, Epcot. Talk to you soon!

Palm Springs,California

How could I not mention Palm Springs in my travel blog. It's so clean and pretty. There's a replica of the Hollywood Walk of Fame in downtown Palm Springs. The mountains are close enough to touch. There's an outdoor dining area in just about every restaurant in the downtown area .It's a great place to visit. My recommendation for the time of year would be right around March or April if you can. While the snow capped mountain views are a sight, it's also quite cold. That's fine if you like the cold weather. If you're like me, however, you want to travel in milder temperatures. I visited once for my birthday in January. Let's just say I froze my toes off! I was there a couple of weeks into February and it rained buckets!
Being a desert, it's cold in the winter and hot, hot, hot in the summer (as I've heard). My most pleasant visit was in the spring. There are many luxurious hotels, lots of great restaurants, and lots of history. You can feel classic Hollywood in the atmosphere. I love classic movies, which makes Palm Springs an interesting place for me. If you need a quiet getaway from L.A., I am sure you will find it in Palm Springs.

The Magic Kingdom

A while back, I promised an account of Walt Disney World. This vast land is divided in to four different theme parks, two water parks, and Downtown Disney.I'll starrt with the Magic Kingdom, which in my opinion is a replica of Disneyland. It's a pretty neat place. If you've never been to Disneyland it's quite impressive. If you have it's still a fun park. There's the Magic Castle, and all the great Disneyland rides.

The New Las Vegas Strip

When I first saw the new Las Vegas Strip I was in complete awe. I had only been in Vegas one other time. When I was a child. Back then, the strip was closer to downtown and Fremont Street was a big deal. Of course,I was underage and I could only see the lights,Circus Circus hotel, and the buffet my family and I went to. Now however, there's a lot more to see, even for the little ones. There is a whole family fun center at Excalibur Hotel. There are video games, skee ball, and loads of family fun activities. There is a roller coaster in front of New York Hotel. There is also an amusment park at MGM Hotel. The new Las Vegas Strip, it's not just for adults anymore.

Snow

As we endure the month of January and its cold weather, I think of what it was like on the East Coast and really can't complain. It may be a tad chilly here in Southern California, but not as cold as Massachusetts. It's certainly not as cold as the Mid-West. There was a time I frequently visited Chicago and I'm amazed I survived the cold wind chill factors. Okay,I'm just kidding, but it was cold. However, aside from the cold weather, I enjoyed both places.I loved the snow. As a kid originally from the West Coast, It was always great to see snow. The time I spent in Massachusetts,I saw some sights pretty enough for a post card. Whenever I had the chance, I loved playing in the snow too.
